The study involved 2000 volunteers aged over 14 years who did not have hypertension problems at first. The researchers noted that volunteers who ate more yogurt experience less hypertension than volunteers who only eat a little yogurt.
“Yogurt can be part of a healthy diet and help people control their blood pressure,” says Lona Sandon, an assistant professor of clinical nutrition at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. Existing natural calcium in yogurt is the cause of the blood pressure can be controlled. Studies have shown that the calcium in dairy products can play an effective role in reducing hypertension.
